Ron Ruvio (trumpet) Born in upstate New York, Ron relocated to New York City to study with William Vachiano and Carmine Caruso. He played jazz trumpet with the Rainbow Room Orchestra at Rockefeller Center for 2 years. Ron now lives in Chicago where he has performed with Ray Charles, Frank Sinatra Jr., Lou Rawls, Rosemary Clooney, Natalie Cole, and the Woody Herman Orchestra. Some of his other credits include Jaki Byard and the Apollo Stompers, Aretha Franklin, Diane Schuur and many broadway
shows including, The Wiz, Fosse, Ragtime and The Producers. Ron is
currently on faculty at Roosevelt University in Chicago.
Louis Stockwell (sax) started out as a classical saxophonist, which is responsible for his great sound. He played with Frank Sinatra, Mel Torme, Tony Bennet, Tommy Dorsey's Orchestra, Woody Herman's Thundering Herd, Nancy Wilson, Natalie Cole, Phil Collins, and the band Chicago.
Rob Amster (bass) currently tours around the world with Kurt Elling. He has toured with Buddy Rich, Maynard Ferguson, and has played with Joe Lovano, Rick Margitza , John Scofield, Joshua Redman, Larry Coryell, and Paquito D’Rivera.
Ron Perrillo (piano) was born in New York and grew up in Florida. He has played with Dizzy Gillespie, Jaco Pastorius, Michael Brecker, and has recorded on Blue Note records with Fareed Haque as well as Steeplechase with Von Freeman and Ira Sullivan.
Goerge Fludas (drums) has recently played with Diana Krall. He has also played with Chicago Greats Von Freeman, Jody Christian, Lyn Holiday and Bobby Broom. Other people he's played with are Ray Brown, Cedar Walton, Tommy Flannigan, Phil Woods. He has recently been playing with the Ron Perrillo trio and the Chicago Jazz Orchestra.
