The Diego Rodriguez Big Band Plays the music of Tom Garling!
Looking forward to this concert at the Epiphany Center For the Arts! So honored that Diego has entrusted me and my music for this show. So many of these musicians were former students of mine, and have come into thier own as the new generation of young lions of jazz. Should be a great night of music!

My Favorite Things-The Airmen of Note
I'm blown away by how good these guys sound on my chart! Featuring Technical Sgt. Paige Wroble on vocals, Master Sgt. Luke Brandon on trumpet, Master Sgt. Tedd Baker on tenor saxophone, Technical Sgt. Chris Ziemba on piano, and Senior Master Sgt. Brian MacDonald on lead trumpet. Enjoy!
Triple Threat
This tune was written to feature yours truly on trombone, guitar and keyboards. Written by Ron Ruvio, and video editing by Mark Haynes.
Chi Town Blues
This Blues I wrote and arranged was influenced by Duke Ellington, Billy Strayhorn and Oliver Nelson, three of my biggest heroes in music! Jazz is America's biggest contribution to the world in music. The world of jazz would not exist without the innovations of the black heroes of this crucial art form: Roy Eldgridge, Louis Armstong, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, and John Coltrane, just to name a few. Don't judge people's differences, embrace them!
Featuring Mike Smith and his Woodwind Orchestra, Dan Trudell Slammin' the B3, and George Fludas swingin' on drums. With a Chicago based laid back feel, this tune takes it's time, so sit back, relax, and give it a full listen.

Revenge of The Butterfly
This tune was written by Ron Ruvio, who was intending to model it after Herbie Hancock's "Butterfly", but it turned out quite different. Enjoy!
